Level of Competence

Beginner (60 hours)
The objective of the level is to make the participants able to conduct simple conversation with Indonesian people and understand the idea delivered by the native speaker of Bahasa Indonesia
You will learn:
1. How to conduct simple basic conversations in daily situations
2. How to write and read short texts with simple structures and expressions
3. The cultural notes along the specific words
4. Language functions: greeting, apologizing, etc.

Pre-Intermediate (60 hours)
The objective of the level is to accustom the participants to producing correct simple sentences based on standard Bahasa Indonesia and using appropriate expressions for particular situation.
You will learn:
1. How to produce more complex sentences
2. Affixes
3. Language functions: inviting, ordering, etc.

Intermediate (60 hours)
The objective of the level is to enable the participants to produce more sophisticated sentences in Bahasa Indonesia for specific purposes (presenting ideas, business, etc), to understand the Indonesian texts given, and to write simple reports in Bahasa Indonesia.
You will learn:
1. How to write an ad and an application letter
2. How to conduct an interview
3. How to produce more sophisticated sentences based on Bahasa Indonesia grammar
4. Writing simple report and personal journal

Advanced (60 hours)
The objective of the level is to enable the participants to use Bahasa Indonesia in a specific matter (presentation, discussion/debate, understanding literary works in Bahasa Indonesia, writing articles and a short story in Bahasa Indonesia).
You will learn:
1. How to conduct discussion and debate with chosen topics
2. How to conduct presentation
3. How to understand Indonesian literary works
4. How to write an article and short story
